Things You Should Know
Ward began their existence as a curious little wisp with a desperate desire to learn, who was nurtured and taught by Wisdom (Solas, unless plotted otherwise), and who grew into a proper Spirit of Wisdom.
Risk of Corruption
- If corrupted, they may become something akin to the Librarians in the Shattered Library, a spirit of the fear of ignorance.
- Depending on when and how they are at risk of corruption, they could also became a spirit of Spite, for their desperation to learn one specific thing is fueled by spite to prove someone wrong.
Ward is written as being AuDHD (autism + ADHD). They will ramble about topics that interest them — especially spirits, the Fade, necromancy, etc. — and they will get distracted and go off on side tangents while doing so. Their dialogue can get very wordy when this happens, but please understand:
I do not expect you to respond to every bit of dialogue. Rhetorical questions will be asked, or even questions they know the person they're talking to likely doesn't know the answer to — they work out a lot of their own thoughts through talking this way, and them being willing to let you see this of them is a fair sign that you've gained at least a little of their trust, as they typically present themself as being extremely quiet and reserved.
Things Your Muse Could Know
Ward is raised from infancy by Vorgoth within the Grand Necropolis. This contributes to many of their... eccentricities that they possess, including their being able to speak in the same manner as their guardian (ie they are able to use "THE VOICE LIKE THIS" when they wish to, and it is as startling as you can imagine for most people to experience).
Ward acquired this moniker as a child for the way they move through the Necropolis so quietly and often unseen, besides maybe tiny barely there glimpses of a flash of shock white hair or deathly silver-white eyes peeking out from behind a pillar, or from behind Vorgoth.
As they continue this behavior even after they graduate as an apprentice and become a proper Watcher, they never quite leave this moniker behind.
